Do you cook sausage before putting on pizza?
Yes, the cook time for raw sausage is going to take longer than baking the actual flatbead or naan bread. If you are using pre-cooked sausage, you don’t need to cook the sausage beforehand as it simply just needs to be heated up and will be done during the baking process.
Ingredients for Italian Sausage Flatbread Pizza
- Italian Sausage
- Roasted Veggies: bell pepper, broccoli, cauliflower
- flatbead or naan
- marinara sauce
- ricotta
How to Make Flatbread Pizza
Preheat the oven to 450°.
Lay the flatbreads on a baking sheet and cover with sauce, leaving a 1/4″ border.
Spread the roasted veggies and sausage on top. Then dollop on the ricotta.
Bake for 10 minutes, until the crust is browned and the ricotta has melted.
Can you freeze Flatbread Pizza?
Wrap unbaked flatbread pizzas and freeze for up to 2 months. Unwrap the pizzas and place on a baking sheet to thaw in the refrigerator. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes until the ricotta has melted and the flatbread is browned.

Flatbread Sausage Pizza
Flatbread Sausage Pizza is a quick and easy recipe that’s perfect for lunch or dinnertime. Get the family involved and let them make own pizza with their favorite toppings.
Ingredients
- 6 Italian Sausages
- 1 red bell pepper. sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 head broccoli, florets
- 1/2 head cauliflower, florets
- flatbead or naan
- 12 oz. marinara sauce
- 8 oz. ricotta
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 450°.
On a baking sheet, toss the sausage, bell peppers, broccoli and cauliflower with olive oil, Italian seasoning and salt.
Roast for 20-25 minutes, until the veggies are fork tender.
Lay the flatbreads on a baking sheet and cover wtih sauce, leaving a 1/4" border.
Spread the roasted veggies and sliced sausage on top, then add dollops of ricotta.
Bake for 10 minutes, until the crust is browned and ricotta has melted.
