This is a Easy Lasagna recipe that uses oven ready noodles, ground beef, onion, oregano, tomato sauce, ricotta and parmesan cheeses.
Lasagna is a classic comfort food recipe. Often times it’s a time consuming recipe. However, using oven ready lasagna noodles makes the recipe go much faster.
The tip to a delicious lasagna is to have enough sauce. You want to ensure that all the noodles are covered in tomato or spaghetti sauce so that the noodles cook and are soft and don’t harden while in the oven.
Variations
- protein: use ground turkey or even ground Italian sausage.
- tomato sauce: use your families favorite spaghetti sauce if you prefer.
- veggies: add in diced tomatoes, spinach or minced garlic to the sauce.
- noodles: if making low carb or keto, use zucchini strips to replace the lasagna noodles. There’s no need to cook them. You’ll need about 6 zucchinis for the lasagna.
Ingredients for Homemade Lasagna
- ground beef
- olive oil
- onion
- dried oregano
- tomato sauce
- ricotta cheese
- grated parmesan cheese
- oven ready lasagna noodles
How to Make Lasagna
Preheat oven to 350°.
Warm oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add beef, onion, oregano, salt and pepper. Cook until the meat is fully browned.
Stir in tomato sauce, bringing to a boil and remove from the heat.
Mix ricotta and parmesan cheese in a small bowl.
Layer lasagna ingredients in a 9×13 baking dish: 1/2 c sauce, noodles, 1/2 c ricotta mixture and repeat.
Bake for 35-45 minutes until golden brown. Cool for 10 minutes and serve.
