Making special holiday treats for my kids to eat or hand out is so much fun! There are so many ways you can make a little holiday, or even an ordinary day, better for someone with just a small treat and very little money spent.

Valentine’s Day is one of our favorites, and the kids love picking out what they will hand out to their friends at school Valentine parties each year.

These adorable Cereal Valentines are so easy to put together, kids love them, and the printables are free to download! If you don’t want to give these to your kids for breakfast on Valentine’s Day, you could always make these cute heart-shaped pop-tarts too!

Step 1: Print out your cereal Valentines! They print nine to a page, so keep that in mind when planning.

For the best results, print out your Valentines on cardstock paper. They won’t hold up well with regular paper!

Step 2: Cut out your Cereal Valentines around the blue border. Have kids help with this step if they’re able to use scissors well!

Have kids sign their names on the back of the cards, if they’re handing them out for a Valentine exchange party.

Step 3: Attach the Valentines to the cereal boxes as the last step! We used washi tape (the kids had a blast picking it out from my craft stash!) to attach the Valentines to the cereal boxes, but you could also use regular tape, or a double-sided adhesive roller too.

When your Valentines are finished, they should look something like this! Each one is so cute, and kids love them!

    Cereal Valentines Variations:

    • Packaging. If you won’t want to use the little mini boxes (you can get multi-packs in the cereal aisle) you could also use treat bags to hold cereal and tie the tags on instead!
    • Cereal Bars. These tags could also be paired with cereal bars too.
    • Breakfast. Give these to your kids for breakfast on Valentine’s Day before they go to school for a cute breakfast treat!
