- 1+ 1/4 cup flour
- 1 stick butter, diced
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/4 cup ice water
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- Pinch of salt
- Strawberry sauce for filling
- White chocolate with purple coloring for decoration
How to make Heart Shaped Strawberry Pop Tarts for Valentine’s Day
Step one: Preheat the oven to 350F.
Step two: Mix diced butter (cold) and flour.
Step three: Make a circle, add vinegar, ice water, sugar and salt.
Step four: Make the dough.
Step five: If your dough is too soft place it in the refrigerator about 15-20 mins.
Step six: Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a large rectangle.
Step seven: Don’t roll out the dough too thin, (0.2’’(0,5cm) inches will be good).
Step eight: Take your heart shaped cookie cutter and make little hearts.
Step nine: Put some strawberry sauce on a heart and place the other heart shaped dough on top.
Step ten: Press down around the edges and make stripes using a fork.
Step eleven: Brush the mini hearts lightly with egg wash.
Step twelve: Bake for 30-35 minutes until pop tarts are golden brown on top.
Step thirteen: Using a teaspoon decorate them with melted chocolate.
