Halloween bark is easy to bake for beginners, however you will need to be extra careful when melting the chocolate (if you have young kids helping out).

The most fun part of the recipe is definitely adding the sprinkles, and getting to break the frozen bark into bite size spooky pieces at the end.

This fun treat is also a great way to use up leftover halloween candy! Simply break up your leftover halloween treats to add as toppings for the halloween bark, instead of using sprinkles.

Baking Tips and Tricks

Do not overheat your candy melts. This will make them seize up and become unusable.

To avoid this, melt in short bursts, 10-15 second increments, stirring in between each burst until completely melted.

Use a double boiler which is a glass bowl on top of a boiling pan of water which slowly melts the chocolate if you can!

If your candy melts do seize up, you can try adding a little bit of oil (1 tsp at a time) to the mixture and stirring.
