Decluttering is a daunting task, but it can also be fun if you focus on one area of your home at a time, and focus on keeping only things that bring you joy and are still in good condition.

Week 1: Kickstart Your Decluttering Journey

  • Day 1: Sort through your seasonal decorations and donate extras.
  • Day 2: Donate toys or games your family no longer uses.
  • Day 3: Declutter one junk drawer.
  • Day 4: Clear kitchen countertops.
  • Day 5: Purge expired food from the fridge.
  • Day 6: Donate clothing that no longer fits or gets worn.
  • Day 7: Tidy up your bedside table or any bedroom clutter.

Week 2: Keep the Momentum Going

  • Day 8: Organize your pantry.
  • Day 9: Sort through bathroom toiletries.
  • Day 10: Declutter under the kitchen sink.
  • Day 11: Purge old makeup and beauty products.
  • Day 12: Declutter one shelf of books.
  • Day 13: Organize your shoe collection, donate or discard outgrown kid shoes.

Week 3: Dive Deeper Into Your Home

  • Day 14: Clear out closets.
  • Day 15: Dispose of old medications and organize first aid supplies.
  • Day 16: Declutter your digital devices—delete unused apps and old files.
  • Day 17: Tidy your living room by removing items that don’t belong.
  • Day 18: Sort through your sock drawer.
  • Day 19: Go through your jewelry and accessories.
  • Day 20: Organize one cabinet or drawer in your bathroom.

Week 4: Finish Strong

  • Day 21: Declutter under beds and furniture.
  • Day 22: Sort through and recycle paper clutter on counters, office space.
  • Day 23: Tidy your car—remove trash and unnecessary items.
  • Day 24: Organize your craft or hobby supplies.
  • Day 25: Declutter your entryway or mudroom.
  • Day 26: Purge outdated electronics or cords.
  • Day 27: Organize your cleaning supplies.
  • Day 28: Organize linen closets (sheets, towels, pillowcases).
  • Day 29: Declutter pots and pans, tupperware, and other kitchen cabinet items.
  • Day 30: Tidy Garage and Outdoor spaces.

Tips for Success:

  • Take before-and-after photos to track your progress.
  • Set a timer for 15-30 minutes daily to stay focused.
  • Reward yourself for milestones, like finishing a week.
