Grilled cheese sandwiches are a go to lunch idea for our family of picky eaters. You probably make them too, but have you ever considered sending grilled cheese in your kid’s lunch box?
This easy grilled cheese, turkey, and bacon kabob recipe is a fun way to serve up a BLT style sandwich in your child’s lunch box.
I’m not sure why, but presentation is everything when you’re trying to get your picky eaters to try new foods. Serving this sandwich in a “deconstructed” kabob will allow your kids to choose what they want to try, gradually introducing new things.
You can serve all kinds of new and different foods using these bamboo pop sticks, from fruit kabobs to dessert skewers. It’s fun to come up with new and exciting ways to serve food!

Ingredients to make Grilled Cheese, Turkey, and Bacon Kabobs
- 4 deli turkey slices
- 4 Turkey bacon, cooked
- 1 – 2 Grilled cheese sandwiches, cooled
- 2 Green leaf lettuce leaves
- 2 Cherry tomatoes
- Ranch dip, optional
Materials
Grilled Cheese, Bacon, and Turkey Kabob Recipe
Cut 2 grilled cheese sandwiches with star cookie cutters, if desired. Mom or dad can eat the leftovers! Otherwise, cut a single grilled cheese sandwich into 4 squares.
Cut each slice of bacon into four pieces.
Assemble skewer in this order:
- Grilled cheese sandwich
- 2 small pieces bacon
- Turkey slice
- Lettuce
- 2 small pieces bacon
- Grilled cheese sandwich
- Cherry tomato
Serve with ranch dip or dressing for dipping.
Note: If using cookie cutters you will probably need 2 sandwiches.
