I’m so glad you stumbled upon my little space. I have wanted to start a mom blog FOREVER! Pretty much since I began obsessively reading and researching when I was expecting my first child in 2013.
I guess the main thing that held me back, is what holds everyone back from starting something new…fear. I’ve always been afraid to put myself out there, afraid of what other people might think.
I’m finally ready to get over my fears, and excited to start this blogging journey!
So first, let me quickly catch you up on everything I would have been blogging about over the last few years 🙂
My husband, Daniel, and I are podiatrists (foot and ankle doctors) in Fort Worth, Texas. We first met in podiatry school in Chicago. We studied hard, but also had a LOT of fun ;).
Chicago is such an exciting place, but cold…oh so cold. We got married January 28, 2012, and then moved to the opposite spectrum of the climate, sunny Miami, Florida!
We were there for 3 years for our residency, which was awesome because Dan is from Florida so we were near his family. On August 27, 2013, our lives changed forever when our precious Noah made us parents.
Pregnancy and residency is no joke, but that’s a whole other blog post. After Noah, life got really crazy!
We decided with both of us being in the same field, our best option would be to go into practice together. We had a billion ups and downs, but finally came across a perfect opportunity in Texas. We packed up and headed to Fort Worth, while I was about 5 months pregnant with our baby girl, Bethany.
Miss B, as we call her, was born in November and our practice opened in January of 2016, when she was just 3 months old. We have been going a million miles a minute ever since!
I swear I barely even remember the last 3.5 years since we became parents, but I know it has been the greatest and most meaningful time of my life.
I’m hoping by starting this blog, that I might connect with other moms, do a better job of documenting my growing kiddos, and maybe even give some advice and encouragement to others. Even though I pretty much have no clue what I’m doing
half ALL the time!
So, follow along as I blog about our struggles, our fun, our precious little ones, and maybe just a little bit about FEET.
