This spicy Texas Margarita
is a twist on the classic cocktail, made with orange juice and a little bit of jalapeño for added spice! If you’re not a
fan of orange juice, you can substitute for pineapple juice for this
amazing drink recipe as I’ve seen it made both ways. Cheers!
How to make a Spicy Texas Margarita on the Rocks
Ingredients
Margarita salt
Ice
2 1/2 tablespoons (1 1/4 ounces) gold tequila
3 tablespoons (1 1/2 ounces) Triple Sec
Splash of orange liqueur of choice
1/4 cup orange juice
1/2 cup sour mix
Lime juice
Jalapeno, sliced
Instructions
Rim a traditional margarita glass and add ice.
In a cocktail shaker, add more ice till halfway full. Add in the tequila, Triple Sec and orange liqueur. Fill the remainder of the shaker with orange juice and sour mix. Add a splash of lime juice. Cover and shake until cold and then strain into the salt-filled glass. Top with lime and jalapeno.
