This guacamole salsa is packed full of flavor and made in under 5 minutes. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips or on top of your favorite tacos, you can’t go wrong!

There is a Mexican restaurant that we frequent often. The guacamole there is to die for, so I had to try to replicate it. This is my version and a recipe that is asked for often once friends and family try it.

If you are looking for a little extra heat, you can dice up a jalapeno and add it in with the other ingredients.

This guacamole recipe is a flavorful dip and condiment that goes great on top of Chicken Tostadas, as a side dish to Steak Fajitas or Shrimp Tacos.

Ingredients for Homemade Guacamole Salsa

  • chili powder
  • salt
  • lime
  • red onion
  • cilantro
  • avocados
  • tomatoes
  • ground cumin

How to Make Guacamole with Tomatoes

In a medium bowl mix the red onion, salt, avocado, cilantro, tomato, lime juice, cumin and chili powder. Mix together until you get the consistency you like your guacamole to be.

If you want a thin consistency that’s more like a dressing or dip, mix all the ingredients in a blender until smooth.

How to Store

To store homemade guacamole, place in an air tight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 lime, juice only
  • 3 tbsp red onion, diced
  • 1/4 c cilantro, chopped
  • 2 large avocados, mashed
  • 2 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin

Instructions

In a medium bowl mix the red onion, salt, avocado, cilantro, tomato, lime juice, cumin and chili powder. Mix together until you get the consistency you like your guacamole to be.
