Step 2: Trace Onto Cardboard

Lay your templates over a large flattened box or sheet of cardboard. Trace around each number carefully, then cut them out using scissors or a craft knife. These will form the base of your DIY centerpiece.

Step 4: Decorate Your Numbers

This is the fun part! Here are a few graduation party decoration ideas:

  • Photo Collage: I used about 50 printed photos to create a memory-filled collage. It’s a perfect graduation party centerpiece that doubles as a keepsake.
  • Glitter Accent: I covered the “2s” in gold glitter scrapbook paper for contrast. You could also use acrylic paint or tissue paper flowers for texture.
  • Flower Decor: Hot glue faux white roses along the edges for a soft, romantic look.
  • Tassel Garland: Drape a mini tassel across the top, or hang one off the corner for that classic graduation hat vibe.
  • Charcuterie Numbers: Get creative and top your numbers with cheese, fruit, or candy for a college graduation gift with a twist!

Step 5: Display With Style

Lean your numbers against a glass vase or place them at the center of the table. You could also hot glue a dowel rod to the back and prop them in a mason jar with stones or foam to stand tall on a round table.
