Ingredients for Mushroom Tortellini
- tortellini – use your families favorite or one that is on sale!
- unsalted butter
- button mushrooms – you can substitute for your favorite mushrooms.
- garlic – add as little or as much as you’d like!
- shallot – you can switch out for a red onion if you choose.
- thyme
- grated parmesan cheese
How to Make Mushroom Tortellini
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the tortellini and cook according to packages instructions, then drain.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
When the butter has melted, add the mushrooms, shallots, and 1 tsp of salt. Cook for about 7 minutes until the mushrooms and shallots soften.
Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet along with the thyme. Cook for another minute to heat through and season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve immediately, garnished with cheese and more thyme.

- 18 oz. tortellini, cheese or sausage
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 20 oz. sliced button mushrooms
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 shallots, sliced thin
- 2 tbsp fresh thyme
Instructions
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
When the butter has melted, add the mushrooms, shallots, and 1 tsp of salt. Cook for about 7 minutes until the mushrooms and shallots soften.
