How To Make Copycat Homemade Texas Toast Croutons

Ingredients

4 slices thick-cut Texas toast bread
2 tbsp butter, melted
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Cut bread into bite-size cubes and place in a large bowl.

In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the oil and spices.

Pour a little at a time onto the bread cubes and toss, repeating until the butter mixture is gone and the croutons are coated.

Bake for 15 minutes or until toasted and golden brown.

  1. These croutons are the best! Crunchy on the outside, soft and light on the inside. I didn’t change a thing on the recipe.
